CLAYTON, NC, December 18, 2021 — Wilders, a locally owned and operated agriculture brand in Turkey, NC, has partnered with local nonprofit, OneCompassion, to provide groceries for over 100 families in the local community.

“This year has been especially tough for a lot of families, and it’s an honor to be able to bridge the gap for someone in a moment of need”, said Jaclyn Smith, co-founder of Wilders. “We have a saying around here that sometimes the greatest need isn’t thousands of miles away – it’s right at our doorstep. Our team was so excited about this opportunity to put that belief to action by providing a small token of compassion for our neighbors.”

OneCompassion, a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Clayton, NC, has a mission to glorify God by impacting and developing people to build up our local community. They do that by responding to nominated needs in the Johnston County area through practical assistance like helping financially with medical or utility bills, repairing a damaged home, providing groceries and household items, or offering emotional support through a crisis.

“We’re so grateful for Wilders’ support and investment in local families”, said Jenna McKeel of OneCompassion.

One of the recipients of the groceries remarked that “you don’t know how you made our Christmas so much better than what it was. I was overwhelmed and I thank God that we were picked and you were able to come out and make a bright Christmas for me and my kids. Thank you all so much.”
